Welcome
Hi, I’m Rachel, and I’m so happy you’re here
Reaching out takes courage — and you're not doing it alone.
Most people arrive carrying something they've held for a long time, often longer than they realized. You don't need the right words for it, or a diagnosis, to begin. You only need somewhere honest to start.
The way I practice, therapy is about more than getting through the week. It's about understanding why you do what you do — and discovering that most of it once made sense.
The patterns that feel like problems now were usually solutions once: the ways you learned to stay safe, stay close, stay useful, stay in control, or keep going when keeping going was everything.
Together, we make sense of them. We honor what they did for you. And when you're ready, we update the ones that have started to cost you more than they protect.
Whatever brought you here, you don't have to sort it out by yourself. There's a way through — and you're welcome to begin with me.
I'm also the author of What Kept You Alive: Bearing Witness, Trauma Science, and Healing After Survival — a book about survival adaptations, trauma science, and the healing work of integration. You can read more about the book and my essays here Book & Essays.
When you're ready, reach out and contact me. There's no wrong way to start.
